ALLIED FLORISTS OF HOUSTONSEPTEMBER 11 REMEMBRANCE PROJECT |

On Wednesday, September 11th the Allied Florists of Houston placed red, white and blue floral tributes in the Houston area and invited Houston to participate in bringing together our city on that special day. In memory of those lost last year and in honor of those who protect us on a daily basis, over 250 floral tributes were placed at fire stations throughout the city of Houston and surrounding areas - Aldine, Alvin, Angleton, Atascocita, Baytown, Bellaire, Brookshire Village, Bunker Hill, Champions, Channelview, Clear Lake, Conroe, Crosby, Cy Creek, Cy-Fair, Cypress, Deer Park, Friendswood, Galena Park, Hedwig Village, Highlands, Humble, Jacinto City, Jersey Village, League City, Katy, Kingwood, Klein, La Porte, Magnolia, Missouri City, Morgan's Point, Mount Houston, Orange, Pasadena, Pearland, Piney Point, Richmond, Rosenberg, Santa Fe, Sheldon, Shore Acres, South Houston, South Montgomery, Southside Place, Spring, Stafford, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Tomball, Victoria, Westfield and West University Place![]() Kathy

Debbie Wright, President of Allied Florists of Houston Renee Carpenter, 1st Vice President of Allied Florists of Houston In
addition, Allied Florists of Houston provided
floral decorations to enhance the City of Houston's commemoration
ceremony on September 11th. An 8' floral wreath was showcased at the
reflection pool in front of City Hall, blooming plants surrounded the
stage, and over 3,000 white carnations were handed out in honor of
those lost in last year's attack. Following Mayor Brown's speech, and
in conjunction with cities all over the United States, the carnations
were placed in the reflection pool. Later
that day, floral decorations and plants enhanced a
special reception, 9/11 exhibit, and tribute concert at Miller Outdoor
Theatre. Allied Florists of Houston encouraged everyone to participate
in commemorating this special day in our country's history.
In memory of lost Houston Police Officers
Twenty-five
wreaths were
also
placed at the Houston Police Officers' Memorial.
